This is a creation of Aksana Berdnikova, Master’s student in Disability Design and Innovation at University College London. For now, this is a vision for a multifunctional community centre designed with and for the disabled community. On a mission to create a physical space where the disabled community can connect, grow, and belong without any barriers. Through three integrated components – cultural hub showcasing disability arts and creative expression, knowledge centre providing resources and support, and design lab fostering disability led innovation.
Our vision reaches beyond accommodation by recognising disability as an integral part of human diversity. We’re working toward a future where an accessible website is just a website, and an accessible space is just a space.
